Looking forward to another stellar season, Head Coach Jeremy Fisher and his assistant, I. McPherson, hoped to keep the Tiger Soccer program running full steam ahead.  Having won the conference title for five straight seasons and making regular appearances in the State Tournament is what fans and players are accustomed to.

South opened the conference season against Southwest.  The Tigers and Lakers played an even game.  Both teams worked hard to score, but neither could put the ball in the next.  The game ended in an exciting 0-0 tie.

South took on the Millers from Washburn in the next game.  South scored two goals, shutting out the Millers, 2-0.   This was followed by a lopsided win against Henry, 9-1.  Edison, 3-0, North 6-0, and Roosevelt, 5-2, all fell to end the first half.

In the second half of the season, South continued winning, defeating Washburn, 8-2, Henry, 8-0, and Edison, 3-0.

South then took on Southwest.  Both teams were undefeated with a tie, which occurred in the first game of the season.  The game would be for the conference title.  Southwest came out ahead 3-1, taking the lead in the conference with two games left.

South finished the conference season with wins over North, 5-0, and Roosevelt.  The score for the Roosevelt game was not reported.

South played Apple Valley in one of their non-conference games.  The game ended in a tie.

In the Region Tournament, South again took the title and advanced to the State Tournament.

South finished the conference season with a 10-1-1 record, good for second place.
