After winning nine games last season, South was one of the favorites to win the conference title despite having only two seniors in the starting line-up.

The first conference match of the season was against Roosevelt.  The Tigers won 3-0.

Washburn put up a fight but also went down 3-2.  North was the next to fall, 3-0. Edison put up a little bit of a fight but also lost 3-1.  Henry and Southwest both lost 3-0.  The first half ended and the Tigers were undefeated.

The second half was much like the first.  Roosevelt went down 3-0.  Washburn lost 3-1.  North, Edison, and Henry all fell 3-0.

Going into the last match of the season, South clinched their first conference title and racked up more conference wins than ever before.  The only thing left was an undefeated season.  South and Southwest faced off on October 26.  Both teams won two games, so the fifth game would determine the winner.  South pulled off the win and an undefeated conference season.

Being the Minneapolis Conference Champions, the Tigers faced St. Paul Central in the annual Twin City Match.  Central won the first game 15-12.  South took the second game into overtime but lost 17-15.  Central claimed the Twin City Title winning the third game 15-11.

Head Coach Doug Revsbeck was assisted by C. Ellison and new assistant Greg LaLonde.
