With the 1994-95 season starting, a lot of new was happening.  First, a new coaching staff.  South Counsellor Doug Revsbeck took over as head coach, with C. Ellison, T. Sadowy and D. Weiner coming on board as assistant coaches.

Also, the team was extremely young.  Only four seniors were on the team.

South opened the season with a 3-1 loss to North.  The team was not expected to do much, and North was the favorite to win the conference title.

South rebounded against Roosevelt.  The Tigers won 3-0.

The Tigers the fell to Southwest 3-1.  It was after this game that the real fun began.

South beat Edison 3-0.  Washburn fell 3-1.  Henry was downed 3-1.

South was sitting at two losses with North as their next opponent.  The Tigers came out fired up and kept up the intensity.  The Tigers shocked the Polars 3-0!  North, who was undefeated coming into the match just suffered their first loss.

South played Roosevelt in the next match and kept the winning going, taking the match 3-0.

South then took on Southwest for the second time.  South came out hard but so did Southwest.  Southwest, just like South, was eyeing a possible conference title.  Southwest had only one loss.  Southwest still had North on the schedule.  The Tigers fell 3-1. Southwest’s hopes were still alive.

The season ended with three more wins.  Edison fell 3-1.  Washburn and Henry went down 3-0.

The Tigers finished with a 9-3 record and ended in third place.
