Looking to continue to improve, Head Coach Nancy Johnson began her 6th season at the helm of the Tiger gymnastics program.  This year, Johnson was assisted by Barb Prok and Becky Johnson.

During the season, the Tigers seemed to struggle to find an identity.  The team lost their opening meet against Roosevelt, 86.34-65.606.  They rebounded against North and won 70-35.

With an .500 record, South took a tailspin, losing the next three meets.  Southwest defeated South 95.9-89.1, That was followed by a loss to Central, 103.25-82.25.  Washburn then beat South 96.4-86.

The Tigers beat Edison 80.55-5655.  That was followed up with the Tigers beat Henry in a close meet, 89.95-83.3.  South finished the regular conference season with a loss to West, 106.22-90.22.

South split two non-conference meets, beating Brooklyn Center 63.75-53.07 and losing to Chaska 86.9-73.16.

South finished the regular conference season in 6th place, with a 3-5 record.

In the Varsity Conference Meet, South finished in 7th place, ahead of only Edison and North.

The JV team finished with a 4-4 conference record.  The JV defeated North, 33.7-12.3, Central 47.4-43.6, Edison, 46.5-20.3, and West (no score was reported for this meet).  The losses were to Roosevelt, 59.2-35.5, Southwest, 50-26.9, Washburn 68.4-47.3, and Henry, 49.7-48.3.

At the end of the season, Nancy Johnson decided to leave her position as Head Coach.
