The new season brought in a new head coach.  Rich Friedrichsen became the new leader of the Tiger Volleyball team.  Cyndy Woodbury returned as the JV and assistant coach.

The Tigers started the season against Edison.  In a strange twist, the match ended in a tie! South won the first game 18-11.  Edison took the second game 19-17.  The third game was not played for some unknown reason.

South then faced Southwest and lost in two straight games 18-9, 18-8.

South went on a short winning streak.  First was Central.  The Tigers won in two straight 18-11, 18-2.

North was South’s next victim. Two straight again saw the Tigers win 18-12, 18-10.

The match against Washburn was tougher.  South won the first game 18-10, but lost the second game 15-18.  The Tigers claimed the third, deciding game 18-10.

Roosevelt handed the Tigers their second loss of the season.  The Teddies won in two straight 18-6, 18-9.

Henry also defeated the Tigers, equaling their record at 3-3-1.  In two straight games, the Patriots won 18-8, 18-4.

South finished the conference season with a win over West.  South lost the first game 13-18, but rebounded and won the next two games by the same score 18-8.

In a non-conference game, South lost to Fridley Grace 2-0, 18-10, 18-8.

South finished the conference season with a 4-3-1 record.
