With just three seniors, the wrestling team managed a respectable 4-4 conference record.  Captain Randy Denardo showed much leadership through the year both at practices and meets.

After his fourth year of coaching wrestling, two as head coach, Wayne Kopesky felt this had to be the most enjoyable and exciting year for him. Due to dedication and hard conditioning at practices, individual victories against tough competitors were many and helped boost the team morale.

Dave Haines, assistant coach, added much to the perfection of the team and aided in building strong members who made this a good year for the Varsity Squad.

The conference season opened Nov. 25, 1975 against Washburn.  The Millers were too much for the Tigers as the final score of 33-24 went in favor of Washburn.

For the second year in a row, the Tigers shut out an opponent.  This time their victim was West by a 46-0 score!

Henry also fell to South by a 36-17 scores.  But Roosevelt handed the Tigers their second loss of the season, winning 40-12.

The final two conference wins came against Central, 44-19, and North, 33-26.  The last matches were both losses to Southwest, 33-19, and Edison, 33-18.

South also lost three non-conference matches to Park Center, 33-27, Rochester John Marshall, 44-15, and Edina West, 34-17.

As the regular season ended, Randy Denardo placed high in the region meet at 199 pounds and advanced to the State Tournament.
