The highly competitive South High Wrestling team of 1967-1967 posted a 4-6 conference record.  Leading the team this year was Steve Christianson with a 9-0-1 individual record.  Christianson also captured third in the conference meet. 

Other outstanding seniors were Wayne Ambrosier, who finished 2nd in the conference meet, and Captain Dennis Dodge, who finished third.  Both participated in the Region 5 meet.

The Tigers started the Conference season with two losses to Henry, 28-14, and Vocational , 30-18.

The Tigers then went on a four game winning streak.  First, they defeated Central, 39-16.  West was the next victim, falling 34-17.  Marshall then fell 27-16.  The last win of the season was against North, 31-21.

Four losses ended the conference season.  Edison defeated the Tigers 24-20.  Washburn also won 25-17.  That was followed by a loss to Southwest, 36-18.  The last conference match was a loss to Roosevelt, 27-17.

South finished in 5th place in the District 17 meet and they ended the season with a 7th place finish in the Conference tournament.

For the sixth year, Robert Lee was the head coach.  This season, J. Schultz assisted Mr. Lee for the second season.
