A new season brought a new face to the South Cross Country program, Orville Olson.  Olson, a South alum, became the new cross country coach.

In the first meet of the season, the Tigers won 70-50 over Edison.  Three South runners, Judy, Doyle and Stern tied for first!

South then lost to Roosevelt 64-56.  They also lost to West, 63-57.

In the Conference Meet, the South placed third.  The trio of Judy, Doyle and Stern tied for first again!  Johnson and Palm finished 10th and 11th respectively.

The Minneapolis Conference hosted an Invitational Meet to end the season.  South surprised everyone winning the meet!  The “Three Musketeers,” as they were called in the 1930 South Yearbook, led the team.  Doyle finished first, Stern, second, Judy, third, with Majers, seventh, and Palm, eighth.
